What is it about me that scares you, What is it about me that makes you so afraid,
What is it about me that makes you fearful for your life,
When i’ve done nothing besides be born this way.
U know nothing about me,
yet see me, and get a sense of rage.
Your rush to judgement is what bothers me, to be honest,
I’m baffled, but it happens so often im no longer amazed.
You’re the one with the badge and the gun,
Its 2015, and some of y’all still act like  you want us enslaved
Yea I kno and understand there’s a few of us that misbehave.
But innocent until proven guilty I thought that was the oathe that u gave.
so why cant we get our due process,
What about me makes your guns go ablaze..
See I’m trying to understand your fear of me, because this fear you have has too many of my kind ending up in graves.
Now with these camera phones the world can see that your aggressive actions towards me aren’t right.
So again I ask what are you afraid of, because the excuse is always the same…..
I feared for my life.
But in most of these situations you’d act completely different if my skin tone was white.
