       I can’t lie…The day of Ming’s shoot I was nervous!! I was only one shoot in…which was the cover shoot… and I already told y’all online how that went lol.  I didn’t have a videographer the day of her shoot…but I knew…once me and Ming got together…shit would need to be recorded!!! My friend Rebecca ( @rebeccannemorgan)  was the photographer…so I basically told her about this incredible app I had on my phone that we were gonna attempt to shoot a full interview with…….. behind the scenes footage and all!! lol
Ha …y’all should have seen us…. in the car…visualizing…laughing at how desperate we had become because we were just so inspired by the idea of this movement we were creating…
It was just me and her…planning to do a weeks worth of inspiring ass interviews gorilla style and our first stop was Ming!!! I was gonna do the make up, interview, and art direction…and rebecca was gonna do the photography ….and together…we were gonna create pure and genuine content. I had already told Ming I wanted to interview her…and we both agreed to do the interview at the salon…even though it was still a work in progress. Canceling the shoot because there was no videographer was not an option … “when preparation meets opportunity…”
…….I mean… I was prepared with my I-phone so to me…. we was ready to take on the world!!!
Back to me being nervous though…
I was nervous because I was like Laaawwdd…I’m all excited about my vision and I’ve been talking about doing this interview for the longest…so how am I going to show up with an i phone to record it on?!? lol Man… I was trippin’ …because Ming did not give a rat’s ass about us doing her interview on my phone!
It’s like…she knows my heart…she knows what I’m trying to do! She knows the struggle! lol See my friends… success doesn’t change people…not the ones who really “get it” anyway. We are making shit work, and we are fueling our shit with pure passion!!! Needless to say…the whole experience turned out amazing and inspiring and it just confirmed for me that we were on to something special…all of us were.

@rebeccannemorgan
 After Ming’s shoot me and Rebecca did quite a few more that you guys will eventually get to see and experience. We were high off inspiration for days!!! Every interview we did with my damn I-phone and her Nikon was a tear jerking experience for everybody involved. We were doing exactly what we set out to do…creating this beautiful energy and projecting it into the world….and everybody we connected with felt it and was moved by it…and we were moved by them…it was just like a free flowing exchange of inspiration and power and it was beautiful!

Ming is one of the most hardworking women I know. I can honestly say her grind can not be matched. She has her eyes set on taking over and I’ll be damned if she doesn’t pull it off! That girl seriously manifested her dreams and she wants in every way possible to show people how to manifest theirs. She’s an incredible spirit …Im glad to have known her and watched her grow. Her journey is inspiring…make sure you view her documentary online at www.Iamminglee.com.

About Author

Shine Light

The magazine is a brand that believes WE should be the change we wish to see in the world... So instead of complaining we wanted to get innovative and take action! Shift the narrative and influence culture in a special way. "The idea was to create a rabbit hole of inspiration... from people, things, quotes, music, places, food, stories, art, traveling, like literally all of the things that have touched my heart and brought me peace in someway I want to share. All of the people who have inspired me... I want to feature them.. I want the world to see and know what I know. I guess you could say it's My Perspective. It's my taste in all things... It's a fresh voice...it's a genuine voice...it's a revolutionary voice. I care...and I want to build, and inspire people to spark the light in each other. This site is rooted in love. I will be curating the content with other like minded individuals. We are about to create our OWN media...and promote culture in a way we always say it would be "in a perfect world." We are For the People!! We are going to educate, promote, partner,uplift, build, and support each other as often as we can. We are going to shift culture in a refreshing beautiful way, but we are gonna do things our way. We believe in talent and substance over popularity... We ARE the new tastemakers... We have a whole world of inspiration at our fingertips and new ways of thinking to introduce to ppl... " -Melanesia Hunter
