Day 1 of #coachella madness!!! – OUTKAST RETURNS!!!! #bittersweet

5 Minutes Read Leave a Comment

Ok so last night’s Coachella experience was mad real!!!! Never in a million years did I think I would be standing smack dead and center…front of the stage…so close my comrades and I could have jumped on the stage and Nae Nae’d and been remembered forever. lol

This was OUTKAST for crying out loud!!!! And in honor of their 20th Anniversary they had reunited on stage at COACHELLA and I was right there!!!! I experienced sooooo many different emotions that night….as I’m sure we all did. There was tons of excitement…bits of confusion here and there… excitement again….then the set got super live for a min and right when I was literally in my own little word living my entire life…. right when we all were just there…living our lives…thirsty for more…the bullshit transpired…

This was their first performance in 7 years for crying out loud. The fact that the entire crowd did not loose their fucking minds when their microphones got cut off makes me feel like it was more “customer ass Coachella goers” than true Outkast fans out there that night. I was right there… pissed….ready to riot…Im standing there screaming…looking at the crowd waiting for them to at least “say” something and nothing…. The last thing I remember hearing was Andre’ 3000 saying “I’m sorry, but they actually cut us off. I really appreciate yall coming out. I know it’s kinda weird…20 years later and shit.”

The note the show ended on sadden me. I felt like Coachella tried Outkast… it was a tad bit disrespectful if you ask me… like ..I get it..but then I don’t get it…

I’m just gonna stick with my first mind…. Coachella tried it

HIGHLIGHTS OF MY NIGHT:

Janelle Monae’ coming out!!! I live for her!

Andre’ 3000 announcing Prince was backstage! ( I got excited because I thought his ass was coming out on stage but… He didn’t.. ) lol Non the less…It was still a highlight lol

I literally sat up front…right up front…with my client/mentor who is solely responsible for me even having this incredible opportunity! Her team took care of little ole me and I had a blast with some of the most powerful and inspiring women in music! Experiencing this whole trip with the ladies of Universal/Motown has been a dream!!

J. Cole was right up front fanning out and it was epic!!! Love to see amazing artist pay respect to legends!

Joi Gilliam was giving me ALL THE LIFE last night lawd!! She is everything!!!!

                                                         HAPPY COACHELLA FOLKS!!!

Enjoy the flick’s from my cell phone!!! This experience was Epic to say the least…but still #bittersweet for me

Coachella is filled with posers…ppl there just for the gram…and ppl who are just there for the sake of being cool…. which perhaps doesnt make for the best place to have an Outkast reunion :/

over 200,000 ppl and I’m sure not even half of em even know more than 5 of those songs off of the set list smh

#anywho

stay tuned for pics and footage from #day2
